On March 27, 2012, the Black Business and Professional Association (Toronto, @TheBBPA) held its second edition of the Distinguished Men Of Honour Awards. The awards were a celebration of Canadian Black men who are trailblazers in a variety of fields and continue to work at bettering the lives of others.
Mark Cummings is the Senior Vice-President and Head, Insurance Canada and has overall responsibility for developing, leading and executing Scotiabank’s Canadian Insurance strategy. He is also responsible for all existing insurance business lines and subsidiaries in Canada.
Mark serves as a director on a number of Scotiabank Insurance boards. He is also a board member of the Canadian Association of Financial Institutions in Insurance. Mark is very active in the community, currently serving on the Board of Directors and Chair of the HR Committee of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto and as a Director of the Haliburton Club for Scouts Canada.
