Advancing the Fight Against Anti-Black Racism: Awareness, Analysis, Action will be a two-day results-focused conference virtually-delivered live online on October 21 and 22, 2020. Hosted by the Network for the Advancement of Black Communities (NABC), in collaboration with the Anti-Racism Directorate, the City of Toronto and various allies, the conference will engage various stakeholders to formulate policy and program solutions to address the impact of anti-Black racism.
The Anti-Racism Directorate will provide an overview of their anti-racism initiatives, and a progress update on the collection of race-based data in justice, education and child welfare sectors. Municipal leaders from Toronto, Hamilton, Brampton and Ottawa will explore the municipal lens of advancing the fight against anti-Black racism. Sector allies will provide insights for turning collective cross-sectoral policy, practice and program opportunities into concrete actions to advance the fight against anti-Black racism in Canada.
