Black Canada Talking™ is a live online event that provides Black Canadians opportunity to give their takes and POVs on stories that are of importance to them.
On the January 9, 2022 edition of Black Canada Talking™, the guest was Andrea Henry.
Andrea is a Cambridge-educated business lawyer with well over a decade of experience working with business owners at every stage of the entrepreneurial journey.
Having seen way too many of her fellow Canadian entrepreneurs take unnecessary risks and miss out on killer opportunities because they didn’t have the right legal advice, she decided to start her firm, Henry Business Law and her e-commerce contract template site, TheSecureStartup.ca to help more people confidently create the business of their dreams.
Andrea is a mom of three and breast cancer survivor who has built thriving businesses in the three years since her shock diagnosis. She enjoys reading dystopian fiction and long walks among the trees.
During our conversation, Ms. Henry talked about:
– Growing up in Barbados & Canada
– Her love for reading & culture
– Changing her mindset when she studied at Cambridge
– Building connections at networking events
– Hitting 6 figures in her first year of Henry Business Law
– Overcoming her obstacles
– Balancing her business life as well as taking care of her children
– The most valuable advice that she has received
– Building meaningful relationships with her clients
– Intellectual Property
– Mentoring
