You can listen to an audio only version of our conversation by clicking on the “>” button on the player above the video screen at the top of this post.
Civilla Morgan is an Author, Motivational Speaker, Podcaster, and Blogger. But she says above all, she is a professional encourager to the woman who is childless not by choice. She believes it is her purpose to create a place for women such as herself, to feel free to talk. Civilla’s platform is called ‘21st Century Hannah’. It is also the name of her podcast channel as well as her three-book series. That three-book series is called ‘21st Century Hannah, but with a different sub-title for each of the three books. She has already written and published the first book, a 31-day devotional called ‘21st Century Hannah 31 Days of Encouragement’. She is currently writing ‘21st Century Hannah 365 Days of Praise’ (working title), and then she will write a self-help book on her journey through the world of childlessness not by choice.
Civilla believes her mission is to help women who are childless not by choice, see the light at the end of the tunnel. She wants to show that even through the pain of childlessness, ‘we can still live a joyful and relevant life. Civilla has been in love with words and with books from the time she learned to read. As a very young child she would read under the blanket with a flashlight long after lights out were called. In her early teens she started writing poetry and as she grew started writing short stories and her thoughts on pop culture of the time. One of her most memorable compositions was called “What Do You Want”, in which she asked what we as human beings want out of life and what changes we were willing to make to get what we wanted. Sprinkled among all of her writings were her journals.
Then she wrote her first book—‘Down Again’. It was an exciting time for her and she felt a sense of accomplishment when it was finally completed. More books started whirling around in her mind and heart. ‘Sometimes I feel like these books are a part of me, like a child is a part of his parents’, she says. ‘The books are calling out to me with a sense of urgency like a family member or friend calls out from another room.’
Civilla lives just outside of Orlando, FL. She enjoys reading, writing, cooking, baking, and traveling. She has visited many Caribbean Islands, Central America, and Europe. Civilla has a financial services background and enjoys discussing market strategies. She also enjoys and is very excited about her ever growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
