On January 25th 2013, 50 young rising entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs will gather at the York Woods Public Library in Toronto for the “Branded 2013 Youth Marketing Conference”. “Branded” is focused on building the skills, marketing resources and networks of young entrepreneurs from Toronto’s priority neighborhoods, with a focus on African Canadian youth.
We spoke with Jacquie St. Kitts and Andrea Boucaud who are members of the “Branded” organizing committee.
During our conversation, Jacquie and Andrea spoke about:
– The story behind and work on the “Branded Conference”
– Who they are looking for in regards to consultants, mentors amd participants
– What they have done to promote the conference
– Some of the people that are attending
– Some of the challenges that youth are facing when trying to start their own business
– Their thoughts about Blacks and entrepreneurship
– Why are they excited about the conference

From Jane Station: Take #35 Bus Jane Street North, to Finch Avenue. Then take #36 Bus Finch Avenue East to Tobermory Drive
