Kiara Imani Williams talks about her article, Black History Month Matters Because for Many of Us, It Is the Only History We Have.
Kiara Imani Williams is a contributing columnist to the Huffington Post, and a law student at the University of Virginia. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia in 2011 with a major in political science, specifically focusing on politics in the media. In the past, she has worked for the FCC, MTV Networks, Fox News Networks, Modern Viewpoint Magazine, Disney ABC Television Networks, and the Student Press Law Center. She spends her free time speaking to elementary, middle, and high school students, assuring them that when nurtured, the craziest dreams can turn into the most incredible success stories. She is also in the process of publishing my first children’s book entitled “Follow That Dream”.
