Karlyn is an Author, Speaker & Self-Love Expert who is redefining beauty by encouraging women to practice self-love daily. As a Survivor of Child Sexual Abuse, she knows first hand how we women can self-sabotage and get in the way of our success. Through Elephant Stories, she is encouraging women to maximize their full potential and leadership skills by having an honest and “NAKED” conversation with themselves about the “stuff” that gets in our way of achieving success. Karlyn is an advocate for UNICEF’s “Break the Silence Initiative” and was the keynote at the United Nations’s UNITE to End Violence Against Women which took place in Barbados in November last year.
Karlyn believes in the power of not only owning but sharing our stories and will be appearing on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) on a new show called “Life Story Project”. She credits her success to her three P’s – Prayer, Perseverance and Patience.
Karlyn has over 16 years in the Financial Industry and currently works for one of the top banks in Canada as a Senior Project Manager. She has hosted several events including the 20th anniversary of the St Lucia Jazz Festival. Karlyn is from the beautiful island of St Lucia and has been living in Canada for over 10 years. She makes the best green banana pie and hopes one day to learn how to ride a bike.
