Marv Brown aka “Big Marv” is an A&R Executive with Sony Music for Polo Grounds Music, a 25 year veteran of the Music and Entertainment industry in North America and a Real Estate investor. His influential touch and experience in music production has sold millions of records globally and impacted the careers of Hurricane Chris (Hey Bay Bay), A$AP Mob – Rocky & Ferg and “Mr. Worldwide” Pitbull.
Earlier this year, Mr. Brown was selected by Cantor Fitzgerald Chairman and CEO Howard Lutnick to co-ordinate Cantor Fitzgerald’s premier Celebrity Charity Concert at Radio City Music Hall to benefit 9/11 families and victims of natural disasters of the world on September 10th, 2017. It coincides with Cantor Fitzgerald’s annual Charity Day on the New York Stock Exchange trading floor, which gives 100% of its global revenues to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund.
Since 1990, Mr. Brown created a foundation for urban acts in Canada under his Top Cat Entertainment lifestyle brand. In addition, he promoted American culture offering R&B performers a stage in Toronto and financing major Canadian concert tours to audiences of 20 000 plus.
Mr. Brown’s entrepreneurial endeavours expand into the arena of theatre, bringing to Toronto and New York numerous high profile plays such as Tyler Perry’s Marriage Counsellor, Umoja, Fela Kuti and Virtuality — all to critical acclaim.
He is also a partner in Property Finance Corp, a successful mortgage investment company that assists in property purchases and advises on real estate ventures with assets in the millions.
Mr. Brown has recently broadened his Top Cat Entertainment Lifestyle brand to begin development of a music festival in the Bahamas, with plans to provide his expertise to other Caribbean islands.
