The Perception of Complexion campaign is a means to directly and artistically respond to the undermining bigotry that minorities and people of color face in our society.
EJ Brown, Christian Moore and Zachary Grant of the Perception of Complexion campaign were recently on our show.

From Trayvon Martin to Freddie Grey, over the past two years Brown has observed the increasing problem surrounding police brutality and the overall undermining bigotry that people of color face in the US. As a direct response of the growing frustration of not being heard and understand Brown launched the “Perception of Complexion” campaign on Tumblr and revealed a series of photos titled ‘The Mugshot Series’, which depicted mugshots of young black college grads in cap and gown. The project and campaign as since gone viral and the movement continues to grow.
