Trayvon Martin

Many of us have been effected by the Trayvon Martin and similar incidents.

Recently, we held a Black mens roundtable about the Trayvon Martin and the aftermath with Black men from Canada, the United States and England.

Participating in the event were:

Clive Henry (@clivehenry1 from Nottingham, England)
Dax-Devlon Ross (@daxdev from New York, New York)
Chef Rock Harper (@rockthecook from Virginia)
Pows Dewhurst (cinematographer and photojournalist from Toronto, Canada)

During the show, the guests discuss the following questions:

How did they feel when they first heard about the death of Trayvon Martin?

How the media has handled the Trayvon Martin incident?

What does it mean that people from all races are upset about the Trayvon Martin incident?

What does this incident say about the status of Black men in society today?
The need to have Blacks and Whites to talk about racism
Does it help having celebrities involved to increase awareness?

What are they hearing from young Black men about the Trayvon Martin incident?

Is this is a justice based or a racial based case?

In closing, each of the participants gives a call to action.
