Poet, lyricist, emcee, Motion spans the realms of music, spoken word and drama, composing works for screen and stage. A member of Obsidian’s 2009 Playwright’s Unit, her plays “Aneemah’s Spot” and “4our Woman” have been seen, read and heard at the International Black Playwright’s Festival, b current’s rock.paper.sistahz Fest and the Canonize This! Reading Series. Her newest collection of poetry, 40 Dayz is published by Women’s Press.

The funeral of childhood friend “G” brings Aneemah and Wan together to mourn, and catalogue their histories, as they are forced to let go of the past and choose how they will navigate life as adults in this stylistic mix on growth and testimony, told thru stealthy dialogue and spoken word.
