Last night, we had the privilege to attend “The Evolution Of Gospel Music” Dress Rehearsal. Wow!! The music was outstanding!!
We were able to do a few interviews with some of the people involved in the production:
Karen Burke has been the director of The Toronto Mass Choir for the last twenty three years. She is professor of music at York University. She shares with us on how she help start “The Evolution Of Gospel Music”, some of it’s history, what it takes to put on the show and where she would like to see the show in the future. You can catch “The Evolution Of Gospel” on Friday, February 4, 2011 and Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m at Global Kingdom Ministries (http://globalkingdom.ca/map) Student groups are welcome to attend a special matinee on Friday, February 4 at 10:30 a.m. to noon. Tickets are $25.00 in advance and $30.00 at the door. Group rates are also available. check it out if you can!!
